Professional Summary:
Cristina Kei Oliveira holds a degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Environmental Engineering from the University of British Columbia (UBC) and a Master’s degree in Geotechnics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). She has worked on academic research and R&D projects in the fields of hydrology and chemical treatment of sewage sludge.
She currently serves as Technical Coordinator at NewFields Brazil. She works on various environmental technical support projects for litigation and contaminated site management (CSM). Her primary responsibilities include technical quality review and methodological validation, data quality management and control (QAQC), data evaluation within Geographic Information Systems (GIS), temporal and statistical analysis, and the preparation of technical reports and presentations.

Emilie Koste

Emilie Koste holds a technical degree in Chemistry from the Fundação Escola Técnica Liberato Salzano Vieira da Cunha (Liberato), a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering from the Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos (UNISINOS), and a postgraduate degree (MBA in Contaminated Site Management, Urban Development, and Brownfield Revitalization) from the University of São Paulo (USP). Felipe Zanatta is an Environmental Coordinator at NewFields Brazil. With over 5 years of experience in the environmental sector, he has worked on a wide range of company projects, including conducting fieldwork, performing preliminary, confirmatory, and detailed environmental assessments, human health risk assessments (HHRA), preparing technical reports, proposals, and budgets, managing stakeholder communications, and overseeing databases and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). He currently serves as a project coordinator and is a member of the PMO team.


Fernando Simão e Silva

Fernando Simão e Silva holds a degree in Environmental Engineering from the Federal University of Viçosa and a Master’s degree in Hydraulics and Sanitation from the University of São Paulo. He is responsible for data processing and statistical analysis for various environmental projects at NewFields Brazil and develops innovative data science products for both the Brazilian and U.S. markets.
He has extensive experience in communicating complex information to clients and providing technical support for legal proceedings. In addition to his work as an environmental consultant since 2015, he spent 6 years at Petróleo Brasileiro S/A, working in the corporate Health, Safety, and Environment department in Manaus and at the Isaac Sabbá Refinery (REMAN).
He monitored the industrial unit's performance regarding water resources and effluents, solid waste management, and atmospheric emissions, as well as soil and groundwater investigation and biodiversity monitoring.

He has experience with projects carried out in Brazil, the United States, and Argentina.

Leandro Freitas

Leandro Freitas is an Environmental Engineer, graduated from the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV), with over 15 years of experience in contaminated site investigation, characterization, and remediation projects, working on highly complex industrial sites. He holds an MBA in Contaminated Site Management, Sustainable Urban Development, and Brownfield Revitalization (USP) and an MBA in Project Management (UNISINOS). Talita da Silva holds a degree in Geological Engineering from the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel) and a master's degree in Water Resources and Environmental Sanitation from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), with a focus on hydrogeology. She currently serves as an Environmental Analyst at NewFields Brazil.
